Blue Elephant Theatre Announcement

We sadly share the news that we will be surrendering our building back to Southwark Council just before Christmas. In the current climate and following funding cuts, this has become the only way to stabilise the organisation and continue some of our work. We are grateful for all the love and support we have received as a community and fringe venue, and for all the artists, audiences, participants, staff and freelancers who have joined us in this special building at 59a Bethwin Road.

Please help us continue our work like Young People's Theatre, early years projects and original family theatre shows, by supporting our Big Give Campaign which runs until December 9th. Donations will be doubled and so will have a larger impact! Donations can be made here.

We also do still have limited rehearsal space available to hire over the next month, which can be booked below or by emailing hires@blueelephanttheatre.co.uk.

Parking and Access

The nearest designated parking area for blue badge holders is on Bethwin Road, approximately 35 meters from the main theatre entrance. The route involves crossing the road and there are no adjacent dropped kerbs up to the pavement level.

The closest parking bays to the theatre are on Thompson Avenue adjacent to cycle racks. These are not blue badge bays but are on the same pavement side as the theatre.
