Free to Act

Free Drama & Performing Arts Workshops for children aged 6 -16 years.

Free to Act Performing Arts Group

Free to Act is an innovative project which provides a space where young people can come and refine their skills and showcase them through theatre performances. The Free to Act group specialises in bringing out the hidden potential within young people – giving young people the freedom to step out of their shells and act upon their creative thoughts, dynamic ideas & social themes which influence their lives. The group welcomes people of all abilities and skill sets.

The group engage in drama, singing, and dancing on a weekly basis, and holiday workshops may also include art, design, poetry and different styles of dance (such as Street Dance, Hip-Hop, Popping & Locking, African, contemporary and much more). Each term the group work on a stimulus of their choice and create theatre that will be performed at the end of term for family and friends in Blue Elephant Theatre using professional theatrical lighting.
